Pictures of Dell’s upcoming Streak tablet lineup were outed and hit the ‘Net early this Friday afternoon.
“A couple of images along with an internal Dell announcement landed on our virtual doorstep this fine morning, and lo and behold, it looks as if a 7-inch and 10-inch Streak tablet is on the horizon,” wrote Engadget’s Darren Murph.
But that’s not all – we learned that the ‘coming soon’ we heard earlier regarding the Aero’s release date on AT&T really means ‘June.’ Later this ‘summer,’ said phone will be joined by the Streak 5 (yeah, that’s the Mini 5 we’ve had for months now) for those who prefer a more capable mobile.”
Murph added that the 7-inch Streak was expected to launch in in 2010, with a 10-inch flavor following in early 2011.”
Meanwhile, Brad Linder of Liliputing noted that the Dell Streak 5 (or Mini 5) featured a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon ARM-based processor, along with a 4.8 inch, 800 x 480 pixel multitouch display.
“The pre-release version of the Streak 5 runs Google Android 1.6, but it’s possible that by the time it launches this summer it will be available with a newer version of the operating system,” explained Linder.
“[And] it’s not clear if the larger tablets will use the same processor or operating system. But they’ll definitely have bigger screens — which hopefully means higher resolution displays as well.”
