Sony Ericsson announced today through an official press release the launch of the highly-awaited Xperia Play smartphone in 11 different countries across Europe and Asia — including the U.K., Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Russia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. The London, United Kingdom-based company indicates that more than 60 games from top developers such as Sony Computer Entertainment, Gameloft, Electronic Arts, and Glu Mobile are now available for the device through the Android Market.
Unfortunately, the Xperia Play has not launched here in the United States. Luckily, Sony Ericsson indicates that the Xperia Play will become available in an additional 6 markets over the next two weeks. The company vows to add more games for the Xperia Play over the coming weeks.
